Lorraine Knipper's Obituary
Lorraine Knipper, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on December 24, 2023.
Lorraine was born on July 22, 1952, to Gasper and Ann Pellegrino in Queens, New York.
Lorraine was lovingly cared for and surrounded in her passing by her daughter, Jennifer Knipper, grandson, Matthew Murphy, and husband, Brian O’Donnell.
She is also survived by her daughter, Christine Ramirez, and grandsons Vincent Smith and Giovanni Ramirez. She leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, William and Patricia Pellegrino, and her sister, Lucille Damiano. Lorraine was preceded in death by her sister Katherine Trouse.
Lorraine grew up in West Babylon, New York, where she raised her family. In 1990, Lorraine moved to Florida with her children. She worked at Sears where she was known as “Lorrie” and where she met her husband, Brian. When her eldest grandchild Matthew was born, Lorrie became “Nanny”. During her retirement, she devoted herself to helping care for her grandchildren who were her everything!
Lorraine was described throughout her life as a friendly neighbor, a loving sister and aunt, and a person who often hosted and organized gatherings of family and friends. She loved being a mother and a grandmother, and she was always available to do anything for her family. She leaves behind a legacy to overcome life’s challenges and enjoy life as she did, loving and laughing up until her final days.
