Lela Margaree Gray's Obituary
Lela Margaree Gray, age 98, passed away on 11/25/2020. Born Aug 6 1922, the daughter of Everett and Zella Daugherty Bohon. After age 19 she married Marvin Gray in Monticello, KY. They were married 67 years. They moved to Cincinnati where Marvin was a teacher and Margaree worked in retail. To this union one son Dave Gray was born. They were faithful members of Steubenville Baptist Church in Monticello Ky, Landmark Baptist Church in Cincinnati, and First Baptist Church of NPR. Marvin died in 2008. All Marvin and Margaree's life they were deeply into Bluegrass, Country and Gospel music. After they came to FL, they started a jam in their home. Later went to play at Elfers Senior Center for 22 years, then to King of Kings Church, and still jamming at St. Mark's Presbyterian in Hudson.. She is survived by her son David, and his wife Nancy Gray of NPR. One Grandson Noah and Jayde Gray, two great granddaughters Lela and Claire. She leaves a host of musicians and friends of whom she dearly loved.
