Lanice "Lanny" Dixon's Obituary
Lanice L. “Lanny” Dixon, 76 of Tampa passed peacefully in his sleep on August 21, 2020. Longtime owner of Lanny Dixon’s Landscape Nursery Garden Center on State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes for over 18 years and previously a former Vice President of Custom Cable Industries in Sable Park. One of the founding pioneers of Data Voice Cabling in the Tampa Bay Area. After battling throat cancer for two years and beating it, he was diagnosed with the beginning stages of Dementia and resided at Atrium Gardens of Tampa until the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette “Pat” Dixon along with his 3 children and their spouses; Tim Dixon (Stephanie), Tammy Wade (Edward) and Lori Moltisanti (Matthew), 4 grandchildren; Kenny Jimenez, Ashley Lair, Elijah Dixon and Rebecca Dixon and 8 great-grandchildren. His sisters, Janice Barrientos, Linda Dixon and brother, Stanley Dixon. He is proceeded in death by his eldest son, Dwayne Dixon, his parents, Hansel and Thelma Dixon, brothers, Robert Dixon, Roger Dixon and Ronnie Dixon. A celebration of life with be held on September 5th at 12:30 p.m., at Trinity Memorial Gardens on State Road 54 in Trinity. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest a contribution to the Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org in his memory.
