Krystyna B. Scholtze's Obituary
Krystyna B. Scholtze was a caring mother, wife, friend, and tennis player. Krystyna passed away on Saturday, October 8th in the afternoon at their family home in Cary, Illinois. She will make one more journey back to her much loved state of Florida for final burial next to her deceased husband, Michael.
Krystyna was born to Bronislaw and Marianna Golusinski on October 10, 1940 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. During World War II Krystyna’s father, Bronislaw was murdered in concentration camp, Auschwitz. Her brother went to heaven at only 2 months old. Krystyna was raised by her beloved mother in communist Poland.
Krystyna fell in love with tennis at a very young age, she accelerated quickly and became the #2 singles player in Poland in the late 1950’s. She was also sent to technical school to become a Pharmacist. Krystyna had dreams of a better & free life in America, she was able to make her dream a reality and traveled to America and was sponsored by a Family friend who settled in Pittsfield, Ma.
Krystyna then met Michael and they were married in Chicago, 1967. They had a daughter, Rita Christina. Krystyna’s love for tennis never faltered and she continued to play after their move to Florida in 1996 until her stroke in 2020. Stroke revealed dementia, and she then was in her daughters care til October 8, 2022. Krystyna will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Services will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens at 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Fl 34655, 727-203-4055. October 17, visitation at 10am til noon with funeral right after and lunch will be served.
