Kimberly Denise Hunter (née Macknet), born on February 7, 1961, in Arlington, Virginia, passed away on June 1, 2023. A cherished family matriarch, a dedicated friend, and a connoisseur of life's joys, Kimberley's spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
With a remarkable career as a regional sales manager in the dating services industry, Kimberly brought energy, tenacity, and a natural talent for relationship building to her professional life. Yet, her true devotion lay in the realm of family and home.
Kimberly's generous spirit and love for children were the cornerstones of her life. She dedicated herself to raising her sons and later, her grandchildren, Dylan and Dustin. Her nurturing love extended to every child who came into her life, proving that family ties extend beyond blood.
Survived by her son, Bruce, and her grandchildren, Dylan and Dustin, Kimberly leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and strength. She was predeceased by her sons, Jason Hunter in 2002, and Blake Hunter in 1985.
Kimberly had an affinity for life's pleasures and celebratory moments. An avid shopper, she knew the joy of a good sale. Kimberly's love for the holidays was manifest in her enthusiasm for decorating her home, infusing every celebration with warmth and joy. Kimberley was also a skilled cook, creating meals that were a testament to her love and generosity.
Beyond the home, Kimberley was a woman of many friends and adventures. She loved the beach, traveling, and boating, always eager for the next adventure. Kimberley also cherished the thrill of amusement parks, sharing these special moments with her beloved grandchildren.
Remembered for her strength, sharp intellect, and her ability to navigate life's ups and downs, Kimberly will be deeply missed. Her legacy, however, will continue to live on in the love she gave so freely and the lives she touched.
Now, Kimberly is at peace and with God, watching over those she loved so dearly. As we navigate through this world without her physical presence, we take comfort in knowing that she continues to guide us from above, her love reaching us in every sunbeam and every gentle breeze.
A funeral service will be held in Kimberly's honor on June 9th, from 1pm to 4pm.
