Kenneth B. Mather, Sr.
Trinity, FL - Ken Mather, 72, formerly of Bridgeton, NJ passed away in a boating accident in Tarpon Springs, FL on August 5, 2020 and was welcomed into his Heavenly Father’s presence whom he served through ministry work, Bible studies, and relationships.
Ken was born in Bridgeton, NJ on December 1, 1947 to Sylvester (Jack) and Evelyn Mather.
Ken graduated Bridgeton High School, Class of 1965 and wed his high school sweetheart, Cheryl J. Rule in 1967.
He served in the United States Air Force, completed a tour of duty in Vietnam and was
a patriot. Upon returning from Vietnam he worked for his family’s business at Bridgeton Transit and Hopewell Automotive. Ken served as an Elder in Deerfield Presbyterian Church.
In 1991, he and his family moved to Tampa, FL. Upon moving to Tampa, Ken established his auto repair businesses and was an exemplary Businessman and Master Technician. Ken enjoyed networking his businesses through BNI chapters Business Leaders and Direct to Success.
Ken was a devoted husband of 53 years, a loving father and grandfather, but most of all, a Believer in Jesus Christ which was reflected in his marriage, work, ministry and daily living. Ken loved the Lord, loved his Bible, and loved his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife Cheryl R. Mather, three loving children: Kenneth Mather, Jr. (Vicki), Karyn Kasian (Brian), Erin Romano (Carmelo), five grandchildren: Jordan Durham (Henry), Luke, Adam, and Jonah Kasian, Aviyah Kol and two great grandchildren Bryce and Connor Durham.
A Celebration of Life and Military Honors will be held on September 5th, 2020 at 10am at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655, 727-376-7824.
