Kathleen Kroll Simpson's Obituary
Kathleen Patricia Kroll Simpson, a remarkable woman of many talents and passions, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024. Born on August 21, in Lynn, Massachusetts, to Dennis and Louise Crowley, Kathleen was a graceful, classy woman with a life that was a testament to resilience, creativity, and dedication.
After graduating from Lynn English High School, Kathleen earned her degree from Bridgewater State College. In her twenties, she embarked on an adventurous career as an international flight attendant with TWA. Later, she found her true calling in education, running her own pre-kindergarten and daycare, Oak Knoll Country Day School, where she nurtured and inspired countless young minds.
Kathleen’s strong will and diverse interests led her to a successful career in New Home Construction & Design for many years, a role she thoroughly enjoyed. Her creativity and eye for detail were evident in every project she undertook.
Kathleen is survived by her son Glenn Thibodeau, daughter Cherie Morin (Glen), grandson Christopher Morin (Ryane Sullivan), great grandson Bradley, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Maureen Archung, her first husband Joseph Kroll, and her second husband David Simpson.
An avid knitter and sewer, she also had extraordinary culinary skills and taught cooking on local TV and in many stores. Kathleen had a zest for life that shone brightly in everything she did. Kathleen was a devoted mother, nana, and great grandma, whose wisdom and spirit will be deeply missed by her many close friends. She spent her final days in the comfort of her beloved home, watching over the deer she cherished and called her babies.
Her legacy of strength, compassion, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
