Joslyn D Adams' Obituary
Joslyn Dolores Adams, 74, went home to be with her Savior and friend, Jesus Christ on November 24, 2022, at her residence in Tampa, FL.
She was born on March 4, 1948 in Basseterre, St. Kitts, in the West Indies. She was the daughter of the late John Fraites and Martha Carty Fraites. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers St. Clair Fraites, Calvin Fraites, and Tobias Fraites, one sister Gloria Rouse, one niece Debbie Weaver, and one nephew Kelvin Fraites.
She is survived by her daughter Wendy Adams, of Lynchburg, VA; a “bonus” daughter Tammi Dubas, of Wesley Chapel, FL; her life-long best friend, Carol Williams and goddaughter, Carla Johnson; two sisters, Rita Weaver (Eulyses), of Leicester, England and Joan Franks, of Bird Rock, St. Kitts; two brothers, Vincent Fraites (Leona), of Ontario, Canada and Derrick Fraites, of Basseterre, St. Kitts, five nieces, Michelle Hernandez (Peter) and family, Donna Fraites, Sandra Browne (Nigel) and family, Rachael Woodley and family, Sheila Richards and family; and thirteen nephews, Winston Rouse (Lorna) and family, Darren Weaver (Edelle) and family, Trevor Weaver, Shane Franks (Abbie) and family, Verd Franks and family, Calvin Fraites and family, Anthony Fraites and family, Jefferson Fraites and family, Trevor Fraites and family, Roger Fraites and family, Malaston Fraites and family, Ulrich Fraites and family, and Lyman Fraites and family.
She was a dedicated registered nurse and midwife for over 47 years. She completed her training in London, England, and served in multiple nursing capacities, across the United States, helping to bring hundreds of lives in the world.
She was an active member of her local church, Idlewild Baptist, as she served in both preschool and women’s ministry. Joslyn was a faithful mother, sister, aunt, friend, and most of all prayer warrior.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on December 7, at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joseph Allotta officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at Trinity Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Cemetary. Followed by a reception and fellowship in the Magnolia Hall.
