Joseph Wolak's Obituary
We are sad to announce that Joseph Stanley Wolak passed unexpectedly in his home on January 5, 2023. He was 85 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden passing.
Joseph was born on February 9, 1937 to parents of Polish descent, John, and Stefania Wolak in Rockfall, CT. Joseph is survived by his daughter Cora L. Baird, son-in-law, Randy Baird, and grandson, Michael Kauffman. Joseph is preceded by his mother, father, and brothers Andy and Frank. His memory will be cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Joseph was a hard working man with many professions throughout his life. He was a tractor trailer driver, worked for Prutt and Whitney and after moving from CT to New Port Richey, FL he worked road and bridge for Pasco County until eventually retiring in 1998.
Upon moving with his family from CT to FL in 1978 he built the home he raised his daughter in and later remarried in 1984 to Francis. Together they traveled, camped, cruised, and enjoyed life. He passed in his biggest achievement - the home he built.
He found joy and excitement riding his 2002 Fireman Edition Road King Harley Davidson to Daytona and Sturgis Bike weeks all around and anywhere those two wheels and the wind would take him. He even traveled often on 4 wheels in his motorhome to many places meeting close friends that quickly became family. Joe was a very funny, approachable, hardworking, honest, loving definition of a good man. Anyone that knew Joe was touched by his humor, kindness and mild temperament.
Services will be held on January 20, 2023 at 6pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655.
