Dr. John W. Stagaman's Obituary
Stagaman, John W. MD, 86, of San Antonio, passed away on March 11, 2016. He was born in Wellsboro, PA and had 2 sisters, Mary Catherine Skokey and Josephine Zurawski. On August 21, 1954 he married the love of his life, Grace Ronco. He attended Wellsboro High School where he was active in sports and music. He attended Scranton and Mansfield University, and Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He and Grace moved to Elkland, PA where he practiced Optometry for 42 years. When he retired he moved to Florida and spent many happy years. They were members of St Anthony’s Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Grace; and a sister and brother in law that were dedicated to his care. They were like a sister and brother to him. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He will never be forgotten. A funeral mass will be conducted on Wednesday, March 16 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in San Antonio.
