John Alfred "LJ" Prince IV's Obituary
John Alfred “LJ” Prince IV, 43 of Spring Hill passed away at home on May 23rd, 2023. LJ was born in Olean, New York on April 15th, 1980, to Sabra Dickerson McCarty and John Alfred Prince Jr. He attended Land O’ Lakes High School, graduating in 1999.
LJ married Aquarius Davies on October 12th, 2002, and together they had two children, Kaylyn McKenzie born April 23rd, 2006, and Logan John born December 7th, 2007. He worked as a formation manager for Johnson Controls and enjoyed tailgating, watching football, golf, coaching his children, baseball, softball, watching Nascar, and volunteering at his local little league.
LJ is survived by his wife, his children, and his mother. LJ is predeceased by his father and his brother, John Prince III.
LJ lived his final thirteen years battling cancer having been diagnosed in May of 2010. LJ illustrated perseverance through adversity, strength, faith, and determination. LJ defeated battle after battle with cancer until being diagnosed with colon cancer in February. The final battle was lost but LJ won the war showing us all to live with a “Fear Nothing” mentality.
