John J. Lenhart III
71, passed peacefully in his home January 14, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. John was born August 3, 1945 in Defiance, OH to the late John J. Lenhart Jr. and Pauline (Liska) Lenhart. . He proudly served his Country in the United States Navy as a radio and communications operator during the Vietnam War for almost 4 years. His honors include the Campaign Medal with Device, Service Medal with Bronze Star and The National Defense. After serving his country, John began his career in the Industrial Supply business in Erie, PA. He then moved to the Tampa area and started his now successful residential construction company. John was a man who had profound love for work and family. He set the mark for what being a good man means. John was a provider and protector for his children, grandchildren and to others, kin or not until the day he left us. He enjoyed the outdoors from the time he was small. John’s peaceful time was hunting, fishing, and time spent with his grand kids. This great man will be missed by many!!! John is Survived by his wife of 30 years, Lynn K. Lenhart, five children, Jennifer Lenhart, Jon Lenhart, Shane Wilkey, Shannan Bergen, Ryan Wilkey, 14 amazing grandchildren,and four siblings, Jacqueline Park, Gene Lenhart, Gary Lenhart and Mary Jo Young.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, Jauary 20, 2017 at Trinity Memorial Gardens 12609 Memorial Dr. Trinity, Fl 34655 at 2:00pm.
