John Henry Childers Jr., 76, of Brooksville, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022.
John was born on November 20th, 1945, to John and Cena Childers in Bulan, Kentucky After School, he went on to pursue a profession as a Painter at MidWest Painting which kick started a long career in both Residential and Commercial Painting. Later he became the Business Owner of Johns Painting Services and was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.
John met Claudy Faye (Brewer) in the second grade, they were 14 when they started dating (a true high school sweetheart love story). They were later wed, going on to have four children, Barbara, John, Tammy, and Michelle.
After retirement, John spent his time fishing, boating, and was a sports enthusiast. John enjoyed rooting for Florida State University (FSU), Tampa Bay Rays, and The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When he was not watching sports, he spent his time watching Gunsmoke and Old Western Movies. John loved nothing more than spoiling his 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as much as possible.
John is predeceased in death by his parents, his brothers, Troy Childers, Marcus Ritchie, Vilas Ritchie, Ben Ritchie, Bobby Childers, and Ernest Childers, his sisters, Mary Jones, Rosie Smith and Dorothy Childers. He is survived by his wife, Claudy; his sisters, Linda Feltner, Shirley Yancee and Eloa Cochran, his four children, Barbara Childers, Tammy (Eric) Eaves, Michelle (Greg) Zak, John (Lori) Childers; and his ten grandchildren, Elizabeth (Josh), Daniel, Clayton, Felicia, Brittany, Malachi, Randie, Emma, Luke, and Lila and his seven great grandchildren, Jayden, Brycen, Jayce, Annabella, Nathaniel, Louis, and Kayson.
Service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Trinity FL. On Saturday June 25th, 2022. Viewing will begin at 10:30am, service immediately following at 11:30. Graveside prayer and burial at approximately 1:00pm on location at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
