Joel Goldberg's Obituary
Joel Goldberg, a dentist and long time resident of Port Richey, FL, died on September 4, 2024 at the age of 81 at Life Care Center in New Port Richey, FL.
Dr. Goldberg is survived by his children, Lauren Raines, Gregory Goldberg, and Kerri Winokur, his grandchildren, Hudson Raines, Haley Raines, and Mya Winokur, and his brother, Donald Goldberg. He is predeceased by his father, Benjamin Goldberg, and his mother, Muriel Goldberg. Joel was born in Bronx, NY on December 9, 1942. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1964 with a bachelors degree in biology, and obtained his doctorate of medical dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.
He worked as a dentist for almost 40 years in Port Richey, Palm Harbor, and Spring Hill, specializing as a Prosthodontist and Implantologist. Joel was a devoted and loving father and friend.
He enjoyed boating, golfing, attending Lightning games, concerts, and comedy shows. He loved swimming, running, traveling, telling jokes, and making people laugh. He was always eager to learn more and expand his knowledge. He was a great man, always willing to help his friends and family in any way he could. He will be deeply be missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11am on Sunday, September 4, 2024 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in New Port Richey, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the Alzheimer's Association.
