Joe C. Reeves' Obituary
Joe C Reeves went home to be with his creator on February 10, 2021. He was being treated at Mease Countryside hospital after complications from a fall in his Trinity home at the age of 90. Mr. Reeves is survived by his wife of 69 years and high school sweetheart Jacqueline Reeves. Mr. Reeves is also survived by two sons: Clinton Reeves of Clearwater, Florida and Kevin Reeves of Conyers, Georgia as well as four grandsons and a great-grandson: Clinton Jr, Andrew, Randall, Jackson and Jazz Reeves.
He was born November 8, 1930 in Union City Georgia where he spent his early childhood years. His family later relocated to East Point, Georgia where he was active in Boys Scouts until attending high school where he was manager of the football team, served in various club offices and participated in R.O.T.C.. After graduating from Russell High School, he worked for the Atlanta Newspapers Inc, and began attending classes at Georgia State University. For many years he served as editor for The Dixie Purchaser, a purchasing trade journal and a term as president of the Purchasing Agents Association of Georgia. He relocated to Covington Georgia to become the purchasing agent for MacGregor/Brunswick and later went into business for himself selling and installing fire and security systems. He established Protectron Alarm Co, serving the retail customers in the Atlanta area and Custom Alarm Products a wholesale distributor with multiple outlets throughout the southeast that later became ADI. A few years after relocating to the Tampa Bay area, he started Cabinets and Cubes specializing in kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. He retired in Trinity, Florida and continued to enjoy his many hobbies including family, gardening, Tampa Bay Rays baseball, golf, woodworking, boating, and wood carving club. His friendly and positive outlook on life will continue to be missed by all who knew him.
