Joann Lynn Feltner passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 4, 1973, in Toledo, Ohio, Joann was the cherished daughter of Dennis and Teresa Feltner, who adored her from the moment she arrived.
A gifted musician, Joann, was a talented drummer and vocalist with music in her soul. She began sharing her gifts with the congregation at Gospel Mission Workers in Toledo, Ohio, when she was only eight. From there, she moved on to begin performing professionally as a member of Wisdom alongside her Aunt Molly McVicker.
She was also a passionate writer and poet, expressing her imagination and heart through her words. Her creativity and spirit were a source of inspiration to those around her.
Joann had a deep love for animals and a passion for travel. She found joy in exploring new places and creating lasting memories with those she held dear. Her life was marked by empathy, humor, and an open heart—always ready to listen, help, and love unconditionally.
To know Joann was to be loved by her. Her kindness, compassion, and radiant spirit touched everyone she met. Her laughter, warmth, and boundless energy brought people together, whether through song, storytelling, or simply her presence.
Joann was a loving sister to Dennis (Carlos) Colon, Tina Feltner, Sheila (Erin) Feltner, and Melodie (Brittany) Feltner. A proud aunt to Selina, Johnny, Mackenzie, and Elijah. Her heart also embraced six great-nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her endless joy.
She later made her home in Florida, where she built a life filled with love, music, and meaningful connections. There she met her beloved partner of Marie Fortune and became a devoted stepmother to Bianca (Willie) Perez, Vanessa Fortune, Celestine (Giovanni) Rojas, and Zachary (Austin) Ramirez, and a joyful grandmother to seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Joann’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the joy she shared, and the beautiful life she lived.
