Jim Phillips, 87, passed away on June 17, 2024 in Lutz, FL. Jim was the beloved husband of Betty Phillips (preceded in death) for 56 years. He has four children, Kimberly Fisher (David Fisher), Pamela Burgess (Joseph Burgess), Valarie Phillips, and Jimmie Phillips (Gerri Phillips). Jim was a proud Grandfather to Christopher Phillips, Justin Claybern, Heather Sconyers, AJ Burgess, Katie Colon, Chelsea Fisher, Jordan Fisher and Great Grandfather to Emma Macvicar, Wade Jr. Macvicar, Connor Macvicar, Ethan Phillips, Mason Phillips, Noah Burgess, JJ Colon, Eli Colon and Everett Styers.
Jim was a Kentucky native and lived in Florida. In his earlier years he enjoyed playing league bowling, baseball and horseshoes. Jim loved watching sports and was a fan of the Tampa Bay Bucs and Ray's Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, UK basketball and horse racing. He loved following his favorite bands and musicians and going out to listen to their music. Jim was an avid guitar player himself and entertained his family and friends throughout his life at many gatherings. He loved to dance, especially the jitterbug with his wife. Jim was a loving devoted family man and will be greatly missed.
