Jerry W. Brown's Obituary
Brown, Jerry W., 86, died on June 9, 2014 in New Port Richey, FL where he resided with his wife of 63 years. He was born January 16, 1928 to John and Marie Brown in Celina, OH. He graduated from Celina High School in 1946 and promptly enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served as a radio gunner on a PB4Y Privateer at Chincoteague Naval Auxiliary Air Field, VA. He graduated from Capital University, Columbus, OH. He was an independent insurance agent with Weishaupt, Cook and Brown Insurance Agency in Grove City, OH and a state insurance agent with Miller’s National Insurance Company in Illinois. Surviving are his wife Virginia Weishaupt-Brown of New Port Richey, FL; his son and daughter-in-law Dr. David and Charlene Brown of Clearwater, FL; his daughter and son-in-law Janet and Robert Anderson of Palm Harbor, Fl.; and his daughter and son-in-law Judith and Charles Mitchell, Lt. Col., USAF, Retired of Yorktown, VA; 6 grandchildren Jayson Brown(Jessica) Dunedin, FL; Derek Wankel of Seattle, WA; Lauren Brown of Palm Harbor, FL; Ensign Jeffrey Mitchell, USN of Lexington, VA; Stephen Taylor and Michael Dustin Anderson; 5 great grandchildren. Jerry was an active member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church his entire life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the HPH Hospice, 6801 Rowan Rd., New Port Richey, Fl., 34653.
