Jean Robert Jean-Simon's Obituary
Jean Robert Jean-Simon was born on November 4th, 1950, in Port au Prince, Haiti, to Andre Jean-Simon and Andrea Rose Gourgue. His father was a skilled truck driver in Haiti, and his mother was a loving homemaker. After graduating high school, he soon married his sweetheart Marie Judith Julmice on February 14th, 1974, and before long, he had his first child, Arthur Jean-Simon. Jean-Robert and Marie remained together for 48 years. After marriage, he took a job as a radio presenter in Port-Au-Prince. Following a successful period as a presenter, he was granted a contract to a foreign radio station and moved to Montserrat with his family. Soon after this transition, his second child Marc Jean-Simon was born. At the end of his contract in Monserrat, he decided to make the journey to America in pursuit of the American dream, where he had his third child Randolph Jean-Simon. After working in several different occupations in America, he successfully became an entrepreneur and small business owner. Jean Robert changed the legacy for his children by working hard to accomplish his goals. His skills in communication, business, and networking significantly helped him achieve his dreams. As an entrepreneur, he provided tax and insurance services for businesses and for individuals. Additionally, he assisted other families to obtain their US citizenship. Jean-Robert’s heart belonged to the community. He understood people and showed concern for family members and other friends regardless of the situation. The memory of our dear Jean-Robert, the man who could light up a room with laughter, shall forever remain with us.
