Dr. Jason E. Rudisill, MD's Obituary
On Monday August 26, 2018 Dr. Jason E. Rudisill, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 81.
Jason was born on February 22nd,1938 to Jason L. Rudisill and Carrie Sparks Rudisill. Dr Rudisill moved from Buffalo, NY in 1971 and has been a resident of Pinellas County since. He received his medical degree from the University of Buffalo in 1963, and he practiced medicine as an Anesthesiologist at Community Hospital of New Port Richey, Bayonet Point Hospital, Bayonet Point and Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill.
On June 3rd, 1994 Jason married Maria Rood of Dunedin, FL and blended families, a daughter Timmi and two boys, James and Daniel.
Jason’s early involvements included being active in charity events such as WEDU, UPARC, Hospice of Avery County, NC and Active Wounded Veterans of the 101st Airborne.
Jason also had a passion for boating and fishing. He spent time on many golf courses perfecting his game. Jason was a licensed pilot and owned two airplanes, which he used to fly wherever his boat was docked, usually in the Bahamas. He created extraordinary art by learning the art of marble sculpture. He was also an avid art collector. He had an amazing eye for fashion and a great ability to see things in 3-D. Jason was an avid collector of guns and enjoyed target shooting with his daughter.
With a passion for cooking he created many delicious meals, including entertaining others with his signature dishes, Caesar Salad and Poached Whole Salmon to name a few.
Thirty-three years ago, Jason designed and built a house in Seven Devils, NC. Since his retirement he had enjoyed his summers there and was very active in the Seven Devils Resort Club.
Jason was preceded in death by his father Jason and his mother Carrie. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Maria Munro Rood and three children, Daughter Timmi Rudisill Barker of Holiday FL and stepsons James Rood of Dania FL and Daniel and Emily Rood of Seven Devils NC along with two grandchildren, Hannah and Caroline.
