Janet 'Jan' Wokurka's Obituary
Janet K. Wokurka, lovingly known as Jan, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2025, with her sons Tom and Todd by her side. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Joseph and Laverne Orzel on February 10, 1938, Jan lived a life filled with love, creativity, and quiet elegance.
A devoted and loving mother, Jan is survived by her five children: Tom Wokurka, Todd Wokurka, Doug Wokurka, Bob Wokurka, and Linda Rose. Her family was her greatest joy, and she nurtured them with warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion.
Jan had a deep love for sewing, often creating beautiful floral designs that reflected her appreciation for nature’s beauty. She adored dogs—especially her cherished companion, Sandy—who brought her comfort and happiness throughout the years.
Always stylish and graceful, Jan was a true lady. She had a fondness for angels, symbols of the love and light she shared with everyone around her. She also had a sweet tooth for M&M’s, which she loved to pop with a smile.
Jan’s legacy is one of kindness, elegance, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
