Jim Smith, age 75, of Trinity, Florida, formerly of Wood Dale, Illinois passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on July 27, 2018. Loving and devoted husband to Lee (Valle) for 53 years. Awesome Dad to Brian (Amy) Smith of Tampa, Florida and Sue (Jim) Pickett of Munster, Indiana. Fun, loving and devoted Grandfather to Ashley and Zack Pickett, Peyton and Cooper Smith, and granddog Louis Smith. Jim is the Son of Alice K. Smith and preceded in death by his father Edward. Brother of Jan Gradisca, Brother in Law to Marge (Terry) Lance. Uncle and friend to countless others. An avid Chicago Cubs fan lucky enough to see them win a World Series in his lifetime. He also enjoyed going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Lighting games. He loved to fish and had a huge passion for the game of golf. He was the biggest fan of all of his grandchildren’s sports and activities. Jim was an all-around great man who was loved by his family and many friends and would do anything for them. He was kind and giving and always put others first. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Rest in Peace dear Husband, Dad and Papa.
