James Thomas Fielding Jr's Obituary
Born on July 25, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, James was the beloved son of James and Claire Fielding. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Barbara Fielding.
James is survived by his loving wife, Susan Fielding; his daughter Jill Sliger and her husband Brian, and his granddaughter Alyssa; his son Corey Fielding and his wife Jodi, and his granddaughter Alexandra; and his son Tom Fielding and his wife Bonnie. He is also lovingly remembered by Susan’s children—Sherry Maser and her husband Darrin, his grandchildren Sean and Amanda, and his great-granddaughter Riley; Sue Finney and her husband Scott, and his granddaughter Brooke; Sharon Frey, his granddaughters Janine and Jilian, and his great grandchildren Lennon, Parker, and Harper.
A decorated member of the United States Air Force, James served his country with honor, flying missions during Desert Storm. After his military service, he continued his passion for aviation as a pilot for United Airlines.
James had a deep love for travel, and he and Susan shared many memorable adventures together. He was a humble man, known for his strong work ethic and unwavering support for his family. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, always cheering them on in their various endeavors and milestones.
James will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he helped create.
A private service will be held to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the ALS Foundation in James' memory.
