James Cardiff's Obituary
James Cardiff, 83, of Trinity, Florida, passed away on November 3, 2025. James was born on January 1, 1942, in New York, New York, to James Benedict and Julia (Reddy) Cardiff.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1959, where he spent 8 years on submarines, including the USS Gudgeon, the USS James Madison, and the USS Holland. He truly loved being in the Navy, and he was honorably discharged in 1967.
He had a successful career with IBM, as a hardware Customer Engineer and then as a Field Engineering Manager, mostly in the New York and New Jersey areas, eventually relocating to Florida, where he retired in 1996.
James was married to Sharon Weinberg, and together they shared 46 years of marriage and had a daughter, Joanna. He has three other children from a previous marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, his children Crystan, Cayse, Jason, and Joanna, and his sister Linda Liquori. He was preceded in death by his sisters Marian Wirsing and Joan Smith.
A funeral will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, on Thursday, November 20th, at 1:30 pm.
