James J. Byrne, born October 9, 1947, in Long Island, New York, passed away on May 15, 2026, at home with his loving wife and daughter at his side.
A proud man, James served his country honorably in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he dedicated himself to helping others, volunteering his time and compassion to support his fellow man. He will be remembered for his great strength, generous spirit, and giving heart.
James took special pride in sitting with fellow veterans in hospice, ensuring they received proper honors and a dignified send-off. His kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on many.
A service to honor his life will be held Friday, May 22, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
