Jag Malhotra's Obituary
Jag (Mohan ) Malhotra, age 87 of Trinity, joined his recently departed wife of 56 years, after a long hard fought battle with heart disease on October 11th surrounded by loved ones. He was the glue of the family and will be missed by his relatives and friends. He is survived by his daughters Archana and Donna, grandchildren Divya and Devan, son in laws Ajay and Jesse, as well as siblings Nirmal, Veena, Vinod, Vimal and Neena. Jag was born in Lahore, India in 1936 and married Ramesh- the love of his life in 1967. He left India with his best friend in 1970 to pursue an electrical engineering career in America. One year later, his wife and eldest daughter, Archana, joined him in Chicago. Their youngest daughter, Donna, was born in 1975. They decided to embark on a new journey to sunny California in 1980 where he worked at General Electric as an engineer in the nuclear division until he retired. They continued to live in California until October 2020, when they took on a new adventure and moved to Trinity, Florida. Jag was one of those people who had the purest heart and truly led each day with kindness and generosity. He always made the time to check in on friends and family to find out what was going on in their lives and share in many joyous milestones, including birthdays and weddings.
One of Jag’s many treasures besides family was his California garden. He would spend hours there watering, planting, and sharing in the bounty of fruits and vegetables. He was doing organic farm to table years before it became trendy. He will be forever missed, but the one silver lining is that he is now reunited with those loved ones that passed before him, including his wife, siblings, and best friends. I am sure he was welcomed by all with open arms, a hot cup of chai, half a teaspoon of sugar, a splash of milk and a biscuit. To view the services via livestream please follow the link below:
