Jack Richard Grisley Jr's Obituary
Jack Richard Grisley, Jr., 56, of Odessa, Florida passed peacefully on April 13, 2018 at Gulfside Hospice in New Port Richey. He was born in South Plainfield, N.J., the son of Jack Grisley, Sr. and Frances Grisley. He graduated from South Plainfield High School, where he lived until moving to Tampa, Florida in 1993.
He was employed for many years at Metlife along with his youngest brother and father. He worked for Mass Mutual for the past 11 years where he had many co-workers he considered to be dear friends. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and was very involved with his children’s lives, including serving as a board member at Tarpon F.C., and loved spending time with his soccer “family.” He was a loving and devoted husband and father and an avid fan of watching his son play soccer and basketball, as well as being a big supporter of his interest in cars. He spent endless hours traveling to watch his daughter play competitive soccer and was extremely proud of her verbally committing to Florida Atlantic University.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 29 years, Lorie (Rhinehart), his son Tyler (20), and his daughter Ashley (17). He also leaves behind his mother Frances of Port Orange, Florida; brother Don of Las Vegas, Nevada, his wife Sonia and niece Racquel; brother David of Zephyrhills, Florida; brother Ron of Dayton, New Jersey and his wife, Lisa; nephews Michael and Matthew; his father-in-law Harvey Rhinehart of Odessa, Florida; mother-in-law Renee Rhinehart; and brother-in-law Michael Rhinehart of Oldsmar, Florida; sister-in-law Lori Rhinehart; niece Alicia (Ali) and nephew Cole. Jack touched so many lives in his lifetime and will be so deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens located at 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 17th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial service will be held on Wednesday, April 18th at 11:00 am.
