When I was 11 my family started going to a new ward and I remember Z became like a grandmother to me very quickly. I really didn't have a grandmother that I was close with so Z & B fell into those roles for me. They were always so sweet to me and I loved how they were laughing constantly. Every Sunday after sacrament I would go up to Z and we would talk about what we were wearing and where we purchased our outfits. She looked impeccable and like a true Southern Bell. I remember one Christmas she came to church with a gift for me, it was a ballerina dancing on a music box, it was such a sweet gift and I still have it today. I always loved visiting with her because she made me feel so special and loved.
I didn't realize until I was older and moved to NY that Z also did the same when she was my age. She told me that she decided she wanted to do it so, she packed up and moved all on her own. I related to her because that is exactly what I did. She was such a kind, loving example of Christs love and she will forever be my adoptive grandmother.

Zada was a precious friend for many years.
We shared so much together
She was beautiful in every way, sharing her enormous musical talents and her many other gifts. She was always a bright and shinimg star!
I will miss her but find solace in knowing that she is now in a better place.
