Idamae Cooper McMinns' Obituary
Idamae Major McMinns, 80, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was taken home to be with her Lord on August 17, 2021. Idamae is survived by her son, Dexter Randolph Cooper, six grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, several nieces, nephews and hundreds of former students that reside across the United States, Islands of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom.
Idamae’s focus on her family, community, church and students had a generational impact that spanned multiple decades. She was known for her servant leadership, sweet spirit and devotion to Jesus Christ. More importantly, she was dedicated to uplifting others - leaving behind a legacy that is full of compassion, grace, joy, selflessness and laughter.
On August 29th, Idamae’s life will be celebrated at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida. We rejoice knowing that she is walking with our Lord, reunited with her loved ones and secure in the life eternal.
