Ibree Fleming's Obituary
Ibree Renee Fleming, 21 years old, passed away in Tampa, Florida on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Ibree was born on October 15, 2001, in Akron, Ohio to the union of Charles M. Fleming and Vonetta L. Fleming. She was the third of four children.
Ibree was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed. She was loving and would give a warm, gentle smile and hug upon greeting you. Her inner light shined bright like a diamond and made you feel comfort while in her presence. She was so selfless, always putting others before herself and doing her best to be there for her family and friends whenever needed or just to provide the extra comfort, she believed was essential.
Ibree had a special friend in her rescue cat, uniquely named, “Mouse,” since she’d squeak instead of meowing as she knew cats to do. Mouse brought Ibree much comfort and affection until she passed in late 2022.
Ibree had a strong will to accomplish whatever she set her mind to and had a drive to conquer the world in such a short span of time. Often told, it’s okay to slow down just a little bit but she’d nod in agreement and keep pushing forward with her plans.
Upon completing at Land O’ Lakes High School in 2019, Ibree went on to work in many positions within sales which she thrived on and naturally excelled in. Eventually, she started working at Medicare Insurance.com, in 2022, as a Health Insurance Broker and adored her role, co-workers and supportive manager, Mark MacFawn. She’d often call her family and share her excitement for exceeding her daily sales goals which we’d give much praise for her accomplishment.
Ibree lived life to the fullest. She had a passion for trying new things, traveling, and making so many friends along her journey in life. Ibree made friends so easily and was loved by many. From her childhood through adulthood, Ibree remained physically active in sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, biking, and most recently inline rollerblading outdoors and roller skating indoors where she enjoyed learning new skills and holding her mom’s hand to keep from falling.
She always looked forward to the family road trips, cruises and destination vacations. Some favorite places Ibree visited were to the Cozumel Island in Mexico, Freeport in The Bahamas, The Roatán island in Honduras, Belize in Central America, The Cayman Islands, The Big Island of Hawaii, and most recently, Puerto Rico.
Ibree was gifted with the talent of writing, singing, and recording music of her own expression. She’d say her inspiration came from listening to soulful R & B during family road trips.
Ibree absolutely loved being an aunt, goofing off, and was looking forward to meeting her second nephew born on June 4, 2023.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, an uncle and two aunts. She leaves the following persons to cherish her memories: Father, Charles Fleming (Canton, Ohio); mother, Vonetta Fleming (Land O’ Lakes, Florida); grandmother, Vanessa Greer (Zephyrhills, Florida); brothers, Martell Fleming (Aurora, Colorado), Marquise Fleming (Land O’ Lakes, FL); sister, Aniya Morales (Tampa Florida); brother-in-law, Emanuel “Manny” Morales Jr. (Tampa, FL); uncles, Bruce Greer (Akron, Ohio), Kenneth Greer (Akron, Ohio), Thomas Greer (Akron, Ohio), Larry Cawthon (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma); aunts, Kaisha Curry (Columbus, Ohio), Loretta Greer (Dallas, Texas), Rochelle Fleming (Akron, Ohio); nephews, Sekani and Jhacari Morales (both Tampa, Florida); and a host of cousins, other relatives and close friends.
