Harry A Younkin's Obituary
Harry Allen Younkin, 84, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of his savior on October 14, 2021. He was born in Grantsville, Maryland to Mary E. and Harry O. Younkin. Harry grew up the oldest of two children in Grantsville Maryland where he was born. He graduated with a bachelors in mechanical engineering. After graduation he began working in Aerospace and later transferred into developing plastics where he patented quite a few inventions.
He served as Sunday School Director for many years in the New Jersey/ Delaware District.
He founded Abundant Life Christian Center where he pastored until 2001. He remained active in ministry teaching adult classes until his death.
Through the Years Harry did a lot of odd jobs as a Handyman and was known for being able to fix anything.
He liked to travel and went to Israel twice to see where Jesus walked. Harry will be greatly missed by all those he ministered to through his 84 years of life.
He is proceeded in death by his first wife, Louise Ellen Younkin, his mom, Mary Evelyn Younkin and his dad, Harry O Younkin. He is survived by his wife Janice Marie Younkin, his sister Eleanora Beardsley, daughter Brenda Louise Haltizer, Step daughter Michelle Pickett, son in laws – Scott Alan Haltizer and Beau Pickett, his 6 Grandchildren and his four great grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens – 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34639
Visitation on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5:30 – 7:30. Funeral on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. with graveside ceremony to follow.
