Harry Moore Perkerson III's Obituary
Harry Moore Perkerson III, 94 years old, of Land O Lakes, FL. left this earth and his legacy to meet Jesus. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 13, 2025, at 7:35pm.
Harry was born on August 16,1931 in Atlanta, GA. to Harry Moore Perkerson Jr. and Julia Emily Perkerson.
He graduated from Marist High School in 1948 and later attended Georgia Tech and the University of South Carolina with a football scholarship. He then joined the Airforce to courageously serve our Country in the Korean Conflict.
On June 30, 1957, he married the “Catch of his Life” Shirley Jean Lee and together they shared 68 beautiful years together.
Harry worked as a commercial insurance broker for 40 years and retired after a distinguished career at Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton.
Harry was a faithful member of Idlewild Baptist Church for over 25 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his love, Shirley, fishing, woodworking in his workshop, playing pool with friends and family, and loved a great scoop of ice cream. He was most proud of being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Perkerson of Land O Lakes, his twin sister Judy Woollen of Largo, FL. his children Roger L. Perkerson of Land O Lakes, FL., and Kathryn Perkerson Barnhill (Chris) of Conway, SC., his grandchildren Ryan Perkerson, Ashley Grove (Jacob), Emily Reynolds (Hunter), Bryant Barnhill, and Amber Perkerson, as well as his two great-grandchildren Archer and Marlee Grove and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens on November 19, 2025, with Pastor Jose Barreda officiating. Our Family extends an invitation to all who would like to attend. Visitation and viewing at 11:00am. The Celebration Service at 12:00pm and the burial with full military honors immediately following the service onsite.

In honor of Harry, we encourage a casual attire; fishing shirts and khakis are welcome.
