Gloria Mae Dockery's Obituary
In loving memory of a strong willed, intelligent, and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friends to many. Gloria possessed a strength drive, and that brought her from Jamaica, W.I to the U.S. many years ago.
Gloria initially started her career as a housekeeper and garment worker and that strength and strong will eventually lead her to a successful 20+ year career working as a tourism /convention specialist at the New York City Convention Bureau. This is where she developed a love of travel. After retiring, she became a home attendant to the elderly, bought her first home in Wilmington, DE and eventually moved to Tampa, Fl to be surrounded by palm trees, humidity, and warm weather once again.
She had a long, full life, yet a short life for those she left behind. She will surely be missed by all.
Due to COVID 19 small, individual memorials will be held.
