With great sadness I write this but with great happiness I reminisce of my early years with my cousin John Maggio. When I was young he was like an older brother to me. He would regularly come to visit my mother and his aunt. We spend much time together and discuss everything. He was proud of me and would visit me at the universities where I attended at Stony Brook and Buffalo. After I got my first job in the government in Washington D.C. he visited me and we had a memorable time that I still have on video tape. Unfortunately, later family responsibilities and distance kept us away. I would always think of the times we had together and his advice to me. I am glad we able to talk at little and I heard his voice a few weeks ago, praying that God would not take him and I would have more opportunities to talk to him later. Unfortunately, later is now and he is in God’s hands. John/Giovanni I will always remember our times together….God has blessed you.
