I will never forget Gino. He was a good man and Mentor to me, at Comast RSI..
Gino let me in his home. Fed me talked to me about his amazing career history and the hard work it took him to get there. I have an extreme amount of respect for that man.
I love you, Grandpa! You will missed dearly!
Gino was a spectacular person!
I first meet Gino at ABA/EMS in 1982. We both worked in the Military Targets Group.
I quickly learned that Gino was the “Go To” man to solve any mechanical problems. He was very well respected by his piers. Gino was serious about his work, but he had a very humorous side. As we all retired from ABA/EMS, we organized a lunch group; meeting every 2 to 3 months. Gino was always the star! He always had pictures of his new projects, travel to Europe or family…and always humorous comments.
Gino, we will very much miss you!!!
Gino had a big heart and was always willing to help wherever he could. He will be missed.
I first met Gino in 1980 when I started working at ABA Electromechanical Systems after moving to Florida from Rochester, N.Y. I was a mechanical engineer working in the design engineering department on target systems for the military, and Gino was the person that took our designs and built the equipment.
He was an extremely talented man when it came to anything mechanical. We got along very well and even travelled together to various military posts to install equipment. Fond memories of Ft. Benning and Ft. Hood as well as other Marine and Navy camps.
We worked together for over 5 years and after retirement we still met several times a year as a group to have a lunch and share memories.
After my first wife died Gino suggested we take a driving trip thru Europe and I thought that there was no one better to do this with than someone who has been there and done it. Unfortunately the trip never happened as Gino became ill but at least we still got to see each other at our lunch "board meetings", where we all had a good time.
I was so shocked when I heard of his passing away a few weeks ago. The last time I saw him at a lunch in Mugs & Jugs he told me about the fire at his house and that he was getting a new house in the near future. He said that after he gets settled he would invite me and my wife for dinner and I said I looked forward to it.
As I just returned home from the hospital for cancer related surgery I am unable to attend the funeral service, as I am recuperating at home. I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to his wife and family and regret not being able to attend.
Gino was a good friend, a brilliant co-worker and an all around nice person! He will be sorely missed.
