George Thomas Wilson's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, George Thomas Wilson Jr, who passed away due to natural causes on February 26, 2025. He was a devoted husband and best friend of 54 years to his loving wife Cricket (Christine Wilson), and an inspiring father to his son Tommy (G. Thomas Wilson III) and two daughters, Liana Pankrath married to Joe Pankrath, and Alaina Montes de Oca married to Manuel Montes de Oca. He will be remembered as Nonno by his grandchildren Jolie, Manuel, Aaron, and Aiden. Tom will forever be remembered by his surviving siblings, his brother Robert Wilson married to Linda Wilson, his sister Diane Hofstetter married to Andy Hofstetter, and his sister Cheryl Smith married to Victor Smith. Tom will be missed dearly by all his nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Born on June 27, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, Tom Wilson dedicated his life to his family and was a source of strength and encouragement for all of us. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed.
Tom worked as business owner in both Ohio and Florida and was known for his work with Knight of Columbus as a 4th degree knight at St. Paul's Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family, friends, sharing stories over chianti, and creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents George Wilson and Geraldine "Jerry" Wilson. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew him. Rest in peace, Tom you will forever be in our hearts.
A celebration of his life and Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618 on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Cemetery 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida 34655.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church in care of Knights of Columbus.
