George Ray Nixon Sr.'s Obituary
George Ray Nixon Sr. 78, loving father and grandfather passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. He was born in Alabama May 4, 1940, and lived most of his life in Land O Lakes, Florida.
He worked as a Construction Superintendent most of his career. He attended Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz, Florida. He enjoyed bike riding on the Suncoast Trail, clay shooting, woodwork and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Macel Nixon and brother-in-law Bud Edwards. He is survived by his sisters Tonnie Edwards Alma Basa; brother Jerry Nixon, brother and sister-in-law Harold and Lucille Nixon, brother and sister-in-law Mack Jr and Sarah Nixon; daughter, Tomoral Pinto; three sons and daughters-in-law, George and Lisa Nixon, Ben and Barbara Nixon, and Matt and Lisa Nixon; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Alyssa, Janae, Aundrea, Raya, Joshua, Jacob, Tyler and George III; and five great-grandchildren.
He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, New Port Richey. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. and the burial will immediately follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
