George Bennett Dunlap's Obituary
George Bennett Dunlap, affectionately know as Benny or Big Ben, 72, of Lutz, Florida, peacefully passed away on July 7, to be with his Heavenly Father.
He was born and lived most of his life in Memphis, Tennessee. He was married to Vicki Camp Dunlap for over 48 years. He retired from the Shelby County, Tennessee Sherriff’s department and worked another 15 years for the Memphis Attorney General’s office as a criminal investigator.
He is survived by his wife, his children Ashley Dunlap Lorton (Nathan), Miles Bennett Dunlap (Stefanie), grandchildren, Wesley, Megan, Abigail, and Madelyn Lorton, and Joseph and Jameson Dunlap.
A private memorial service was held at Trinity Memorial Gardens on July 22, 2023, with a reception afterwards at his home.
