George Astell Jr.'s Obituary
George Llewellyn Astell, Jr. passed away on April 11, 2014. The only child of George and Erna Astell, he was born January 29, 1930 in Springfield, MA. He was employed for many years at New England Trane, moved to Tampa in 1979 and worked for Tampa Bay Trane until retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joan, loving daughter and sons, Joanne, John (Emilie}, Jerry (Mari), and Jay (Leslie), eight grandchildren, Brian, Karen, Keith, Jennifer, Kristin, Caitlin, Michael Astell and Kaleigh Spurio. He also leaves to remember him with love his sisters-and-brothers-in-law Raymond M. Welsh, Marion and Allan Lenois, Sheila Sweeney and Alan Schwartz. According to his wishes, there will be no funeral service. A family Remembrance Celebration will be held at a later date where his one of his favorite songs “Cheeseburger in Paradise” will be played.
