Gary was my friend for 60 years and we were born a day apart. We called every year to say hello on our birthdays. When we were young, we went waterskiing on Clearwater Bay on a regular basis. We went into the Army together and went thru basic training together. Enjoyed he and Kathy’s company over the years. We shared the love of old cars and electric trains. I helped him set his train display at his car dealership. Goodby old friends, and may God rest your souls.
Gary was one of a kind. A friend, a fishermen and a down right good man. Met Gary and his lovely wife Kay at "Some Place Else". They became regulars on a weekly basis.. Gary was the type of man, that he would give you the shirt off of his back.. An avent fishermen, loved his car collection.. he once offer me the keys to his 1942 Lincoln convertible and told me I could drive it around.. I said thanks but I wouldn't drive it around here, would probably would drive it up to New Jersey where I was from.. Gary once hired me to play for a car club he was associated with. I was sent up in his garage and honestly you could have eaten off the floor that's how clean he kept it.. Helped me with a SUV I bought he looked it over, checked the engine etc. I hadn't seen Gary and Kay in many years, but my memories are that of love..
