The United States Navy Cruiser Sailor’s Association has recently learned of the death of Frank Zaccaro, SN/USN, USS Oklahoma City, a Life member of the USNCSA. Please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss.

Mr. Zaccaro’s name will be honored at our next Reunion Memorial Service with a special bell ringing. The reunion is to be held May 15 – 19, 2022 in Reno, Nevada.

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for this lovely man. He always had the sweetest smile on his face and always showed how happy he was to see you. We used to go to this place called Frank’s and he used to watch us all dace with a big smile on his face. He was so well loved. We will truly miss him. God Bless in heaven.

We are so very sorry for your loss: We met Frank at the Hospice bereavement group after the loss of his wife and then the loss of his son. He was a gentle loving person to
all of us who were also experiencing loss at that time. For the past year we have lost all contact due to the pandemic. He was able to join our social dinner a few times before the pandemic, but his meal schedule was different than the rest of the group. We will truly miss his warm smile.

Frank was the warmest, happiest soul, who had a smile for everyone! COVID sanctions hit him hard, but his tireless family did the best that they could do. You could always sit down and have a good conversation with him. He was kind to my children and we will sorely miss him.❤️

Dear Zaccaro family,
I'm sad that I never had a chance to meet Uncle Tat in person, but was grateful to have had a phone chat with him (and also Robert and Rhonda) in April 2020. My mother Camille Swerdlin always spoke about him being her favorite brother and how much they cared about each other. She respected him enormously and loved him dearly.
Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss of a very kind and caring soul.

I have some great memories of him from when I was a child growing up. Our picnics at Oyster Bay. My mom and Dad were in charge of getting the hot buns from Withers St Bakery. Uncle Tat love those buns.
He was a good man who loved his family dearly.

I have so many fond memories of G. We sat together for a moment at his wife’s funeral and he started to share a memory but his eyes spilled over and he just patted my hand. That said 1000 words. I’m so happy these two souls are back together...
