Frank Eugene Goodman's Obituary
Frank Eugene Goodman passed away at his home in New Port Richey, Florida on December 14, 2021 surrounded by his family at the age of 83.
Frank was born March 9, 1938 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Jacob Clyde (JC) Goodman, II and Nell Cochran. He was a graduate of Myers Park High School in 1956 and received his BS in Business from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in 1962. He was also a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. Frank married Irma “Bebe” Bass in Raleigh, NC in 1963.
Frank was a well-known seafood industry veteran, who retired from Phillips Foods, Inc. as the Southeast Regional Sales Manager after spending over 45 years in the industry. Prior to joining Phillips Foods, Inc, he was also Vice President of Harrell International, National Sales Manager for Sea Products, and early in his career, he worked with SeaPak.
Frank had such a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He loved to cook and was quite the gourmet! He loved the ocean, beach and sailing. He was a friend to everyone he met and will be missed dearly.
Frank is survived by his brother Jacob “Sonny” Goodman, III; brother-in law Reid Icard; niece Angela Goodman; nephew Michael Goodman and his three children: David Goodman, Diane Goodman Sepulveda, Sharon Goodman-Pitts and son-in-law Doug Pitts; five grandchildren: Amanda Haas Cooper, Heather Sherwood, Savannah Pitts, Stephanie Pitts and Jaden Goodman; and four great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Nell and JC Goodman and his sister Karen Goodman Icard.
Memorial Services and Interment will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens on January 29, 2022 starting at 1:00pm. Address: 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655
