We will miss your wit and humor. We will miss you being here with us. Keep a watchover everyone who loved you. We will never forget.
Almost every single time I saw Forrest he was standing by Ashley's side. He was very much at home by her side, a comfort spot, the place he belonged. He stood there stoically and patiently. He laughed politely at my jokes and interjected supportively in Ashley's stories. He was a beautiful combination of intelligence, kindness, and an innocent awkwardness that put people at ease. I recently heard him described as "cool but a little weird" and I liked that in the most complimentary sort of way. He was "a little weird" in the scene that you knew you would never meet another like him. His passion for adventure, zest for knowledge, and desire to make a difference are not found under every rock.
I made the ring Forrest proposed to Ashley with. It allowed me the awesome opportunities to see them on the regular but it also gave me a glimpse of Forrest without Ashley. He came in by himself to pick it up. He wasn't the Forrest I was used to but one who was excited (I could almost call him giddy) and clearly a man in love. He was going to give the woman of his dreams the ring of her dreams and it clearly meant a great deal to him. I loved how he loved her. How he was beaming with pride when he left the store. They say every love story is great but really this one is one of my favorites.
It's painful to know that Forrest isn't here. He had such a short time and he touched so many lives. He was impactful, but not in a forceful way. He made a difference to people simply because he was special.
Forrest was a great man and I loved spending time with you both. I will always remember our epcot day together.
I remember when Forrest came to the barn to take pictures. His passion for his hobbies impressed me. I absolutely love the photo I have of Spatz because of him.
