Foomai Hu's Obituary
Hu Foomai, born on September 6, 1943, in Karachi, Pakistan, passed away peacefully at home on November 7, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of Chin Liu and HS Chu. On October 25, 1964, she married Phen Changhai, and together they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion.
A gentle and nurturing soul, Hu was a dedicated homemaker who single-handedly raised her children with unwavering strength and grace. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially knitting and photography, which brought her great comfort and creativity.
Hu is lovingly remembered by her children: daughter Habiba (Najam), and grandchildren Huzaifa and Mona, along with great-grandchildren Salaar, Zidan, and Azlan; son Stephen (Min), and grandchildren Alyssa, Alina, and Avner; son James (Chaiyu), and grandchildren Stacey and Olivia; and daughter Sandra (Peter), and grandchildren Dylan, Ryan, and Brendon.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, November 11 at 6:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens. A funeral mass will be held the following day, Wednesday, November 12 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Rosary. Hu will be laid to rest at Trinity Memorial Gardens following the service.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
