Florence Mary Johnston's Obituary
Florence Mary “Kit” Johnston was born in Hartford, CT on Dec. 21, 1921. She passed from this good Earth Sunday morning, April 22, 2018. Her husband was a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force and they travelled extensively retiring in Columbus, OH where she was the office manager for an orthopedic surgeon for 17 years. She loved people and was known for her sense of caring and hospitality. She and her late husband, Dave moved to Clearwater in 2000 and were active at Heritage United Methodist Church. Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 11 am, at Heritage. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the Heritage Memorial Fund in her honor. Kit is survived by her two sons and their wives, Archie and Sue Johnston and Murray and Ellen Johnston. Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren loved and adored her: Reid Johnston, Graham and Nina Johnston and their daughters, Braelinn and Ashlynn, Carly (Johnston) and Harold Laney and their sons, David and Luke, and Trevor and Leah Johnston and their children, David “Cade” and Tessa.
