Evelyn Smith Walkowz, October 10, 1941 – April 27, 2016
Walkowz, Evelyn, died peacefully in Hospice care on Wed, April 27, 2016 in New Port Richey, FL, at the age of 74.
Evelyn was born October 10, 1941, in Detroit Mi to Walter John Smith and Vivian Haley Smith. She married Harold Walkowz on August 29, 1964; widowed March 1, 2000. Evelyn and her husband moved to New Port Richey, Florida with their 2 daughters in 1975; eldest daughter Laura Dietz and her husband Jim Dietz and Terrie Walkowz. Evelyn was grandmother to Kathleen Dietz, Timothy Dietz, and Elizabeth Walkowz.
Owner of Ceramic Land June 1981 to July 2003; Evelyn was an accomplished artist, who loved teaching the public her passion for painting. She was loved and will be greatly missed by many.
A Viewing is scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2016, 5-7pm and the family will receive visitors Saturday, May 7th at 11am followed by a memorial service at Noon. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Evelyn’s life. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Evelyn Walkowz, a donation may be given to HPH Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers; hospital staff; DaVita staff; and Hospice staff for their efforts, care, and dedication.
