Eugenie Weiland's Obituary
Eugenie Jarvis Weiland, age 81, passed away August 24, 2021, in Hudson, Florida. She was born on April 9, 1940, in Middletown, NY to Sidney and Marie Jarvis. She met her wonderful husband Leslie Weiland at the roller rink, and they married on April 7, 1972, he preceded her in death in 2005. Her brothers Herbert and William Jarvis also preceded her in death.
Genie loved roller skating, throwing parties for friends and family (especially the big 4th of July ones), going to the casino, cruising with friends and family, volunteering with Hospice and at Trinity hospital for 10 years, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing games. She was a band mom for Marie and Gene and carried on that type of support for all her grandchildren throughout the years. They are all the apple of her eye. Most recently she really enjoyed her time at the Atria assisted living facility where she got to play bingo, blackjack, and even have a Bloody Mary at the happy hours there.
Genie is survived by her sister Donna Jarvis of FL, brothers Sidney Jarvis (Joan)of NJ, Jack Jarvis (Donna) of FL, George Jarvis (Barbara) of NJ, sister-in-law Mary Jarvis of TX, her daughter Marie Carine Monsky (Scott Casey) of FL, her son Eugene Weiland and his wife Margaret of Old Bridge NJ grandchildren Jonathan Weiland (Alaina), Kathleen Monsky (John Schulz), Douglas Monsky (Breanne Sadler), Heather Maldonado (William) and great grandson Colt Weiland; plus, may nieces and nephews. She loved all of them beyond words and cherished anytime she could spend with them either in person or through video. In addition, she cherished time with her wonderful friends. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
