Laito dedicated 29 years working as a boiler fireman/maintenance, in Brooklyn, New York at Brooklyn Hospital Center. After braving the harsh New York City winters, Laito and Margarita retired to Wesley Chapel, Florida. He soon found new purpose, working as the maintenance supervisor for Pasco County School District. When not working, he enjoyed hosting family and friends around the pool, creating countless wonderful memories.
He later became the dedicated caregiver for his cherished wife Margarita until she passed on November 24, 2019. They will be celebrating their 60th anniversary together in heaven.
