Ernest Britton's Obituary
Former Ohio resident residing in Florida Ernest Rudolph Britton, beloved husband of the late Shirley Merkt Britton, died Nov. 2, 2014 at 82 comforted by family in Venice, Florida.
Ernie was born December 30, 1931, in Maud, Ohio, to Ezra H. Britton and Ethel Hunley Britton. Ernest is survived by and devoted father to Gregory T. Britton, Victoria Britton Holden, Tamara Britton Weber, and Ernest G. Britton, father-in-law of Catherine Britton, Andrew Holden, Mary Britton and Douglas Weber, and by granddaughters Erin, Andrea, and Abbigail Holden, and grandson Miles Britton.
Ernie, a graduated of Sharonville H.S. with postsecondary education at Ohio University, was faithful to family and community serving in the United States Air Force, Sharonville City Council for approximately 14 years, and Masons of Ohio. He worked more than 30 years for Western & Southern Life Insurance Company with success and sales accolades ascending to and retiring in the positon of Divisional Vice President. He was an avid sports and outdoorsman enjoying golfing, fishing, and hunting. Sympathy may be expressed by a contribution to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
