Erin Nicole Alicea-Miller's Obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Erin Nicole Alicea-Miller, who left us on March 13, 2025, at the age of 34. Surrounded by her family in New Port Richey, Florida. Erin’s passing leaves a deep hole in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on August 15, 1990, in New York, New York Erin made her home in Florida, where she brightened the lives of many.
Erin was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Amelia Lynn Miller; her loving mother, Amy Alicea; her father, Aaron Alicea; her grandmothers, Inez Alicea and Elba Troche; and her siblings, Aaron Jr. Alicea, Natalie Alicea, Camille Rosas, and Ava Alicea. Erin’s family was everything to her, and she gave them all of her heart.
Erin was a proud alumna of the University of South Florida, where she studied to become an educator. After graduating, she married Brian Daniel Miller and together they welcomed their beloved daughter, Amelia Lynn Miller. She will forever be the light of Erin's life and is what kept her going.
Erin was a second-grade educator at Sanders Memorial Elementary School she taught children and her colleagues not only about curriculum but of life lessons as well. Erin was passionate about shaping young minds. She found joy in watching her students grow, learn, and succeed. Her love for teaching was matched only by her dedication to her students’ well-being, always going above and beyond to make a difference in their lives.
Erin was also a devoted animal lover, especially when it came to her dog, Rosie. Her gentle heart and unwavering loyalty made her a true friend, always there for anyone who needed her. Erin approached life with determination, never backing down from any challenge. Her strength, courage, and kindness were qualities that defined her, and she will forever be remembered for the love she so freely gave.
This past December Erin was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic triple negative Breast Cancer she fought her absolute hardest but after a few short months, she lost her battle.
In memory of Erin and to help support her daughter Amelia, a GoFundMe has been created to assist with her future and help the family during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held to honor Erin’s life and the memories she leaves behind. The Service will be held on March 27th at 6PM -8PM Trinity chapel and March 28th at 1PM-2PM at Trinity Memorial Garden and in true Erin fashion, we kindly ask that those attending wear vibrant colors or pink, as it was her favorite and a beautiful reflection of her bright, positive spirit.
Erin’s legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
